Training is available through governments and civil society organizations. Availability depends on location. The CPDAP provider listing can be used to identify providers. Some providers train only their own staff, while public training opportunities are available through the CPDAP website calendar.

The Training Provider Coordinator (TPC) is the person designated to approve an organization's access to materials and guide training and implementation. The relevant coordinator depends on the region.

Apply online through the Training Provider Application process. The regional coordinator reviews the organization's qualifications and can authorize access to the materials.

CPDAP members have participant manuals for UTC, UPC and URC. Trainer manuals and slides require a Training Provider application.

Self-led Basic UTC and UPC-M&S training is available through the CPDAP LMS.

Some translations and cultural adaptations are possible, including case studies, local statistics and information about primary narcotics. However, the core principles should not change. Providers are expected to maintain course integrity. Cultural adaptations should be reviewed by the coordinator.

Yes. Multiple providers can operate within a region, including government training partners. Examples include health ministries providing treatment training, education ministries providing prevention training, rehabilitation volunteers and professional continuing education for nurses and clinicians.

Providers may charge a reasonable fee for services and printing or material costs. The curriculum itself cannot be sold.

Sources should be cited according to the manuals. Trainers should not mix Universal Curricula materials with other materials unless approved by the coordinator, in order to preserve curriculum integrity and avoid conflicting principles.

Renewal takes place after three years if the organization's qualifications continue to be met.

  • Conduct at least 2 Universal Curricula trainings annually.
  • Accredited trainers complete at least 30 hours of CPD.
  • Adhere to the required data submission conditions.
A six-month probation period may be provided where deficiencies need to be addressed.

1
DAP requests proof relating to the complaint.
2
A three-team panel consisting of project managers and deputy directors reviews the complaint.
3
Baseless complaints are dismissed.
4
For a meritorious complaint, the Training Organization is notified and receives 7 calendar days to respond.
5
The panel recommends corrective action where appropriate.
6
Corrective-action deadlines are 30 days for a first offense and 15 days for a second offense. Repeated violations can place the Training Organization status on hold. During a hold, the organization cannot conduct DAP-related curriculum training.
